Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ReciPie ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ReciPie is a mobile application that allows users to import, organize, and manage recipes. Features include AI-powered recipe import from video links (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram), recipe scanning from physical sources using OCR, automatic nutritional calculations, shopping list generation, and cooking mode with timers.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

ReciPie offers both free and premium features. Premium features require a paid subscription ("ReciPie Premium").

• Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's App Store or Google Play Store settings.
• Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple's or Google's refund policies.
• Prices may change with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks.
• Upload malicious content or attempt to gain unauthorized access.
• Use the App to infringe on intellectual property rights of others.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the App.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content: Recipes you import, scan, or create remain your content. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process and store your content solely to provide the service.

Our Content: The App, its design, features, code, and branding are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

Third-Party Content: Recipes imported from third-party platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram) are subject to those platforms' terms. We do not claim ownership of third-party content.

7. AI-Generated Content

The App uses artificial intelligence to extract recipes, calculate nutritional values, estimate costs, and generate dietary variants. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and may contain errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated information. Always verify nutritional information if you have dietary restrictions or health conditions.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy (below). By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

Nutritional information, cost estimates, and dietary suggestions are approximations generated by AI and should not be treated as medical, dietary, or financial advice. Consult a qualified professional for dietary or health-related decisions.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Poland.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how ReciPie ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide:

• Account Information: Name and email address when you create an account, or information provided through Google or Apple sign-in.
• Recipe Data: Recipes you import, scan, or create, including ingredients, instructions, and photos.
• Shopping Lists: Items you add to your shopping lists.

Information Collected Automatically:

• Usage Data: How you interact with the App (features used, recipes viewed).
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version.
• Crash Data: Technical information when the App crashes, to help us fix issues.

Information from Third Parties:

• Sign-in Providers: If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address as authorized by you.
• Payment Providers: Purchase and subscription status through RevenueCat (we never see your payment card details).

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App's features.
• To authenticate your account and manage subscriptions.
• To process recipes using AI (video link analysis, OCR scanning, nutritional calculations).
• To improve the App and fix bugs.
• To communicate important updates about the App or your account.

4. Data Processing

Recipe import and AI features require sending data (video links, scanned images) to our servers for processing. This data is processed solely to provide the requested feature and is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union.
• We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and secure server infrastructure.
• No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service Providers: Hosting providers (OVH), payment processing (RevenueCat/Apple/Google), and AI processing services, solely to operate the App.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR and applicable Polish law, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to certain processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

8. Data Retention

• Account data is retained as long as your account is active.
• Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
• Crash and diagnostic data is retained for up to 12 months.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.

10. Cookies and Tracking

The App does not use cookies or third-party tracking technologies for advertising purposes. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
